Jim Berry - Vice President

Jim Berry, Vice President, has been in the real estate industry since 1982. Mr. Berry holds a J.D. Degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from Ferris State University. From 1985 to 1988, Mr. Berry acted as Corporate Counsel and Associate Counsel for a developer and a financial institution, respectively. In 1988, Mr. Berry was employed by HomeFed Bank as an Asset Manager responsible for a $155 million portfolio of residential tract and commercial REO properties. In this capacity, he was directly responsible for every phase of residential tract and commercial project management, real estate dispositions, the workouts and foreclosures. Beginning in 1992, Mr. Berry was employed by Bank of America as Vice President, Commercial REO Sales. Mr. Berry was responsible for the management, leasing, development and sale of properties valued in excess of $375 million, including: over 2,300 apartment units located primarily in the Eastern and Western United States; 5 regional malls and 27 shopping centers totaling approximately 4,200,000 square feet; office buildings consisting of over 1,000,000 square feet; and other commercial properties including industrial and medical facilities totaling over 1,350,000 square feet. He currently holds a California Real Estate Brokers license and is a member of the Michigan State Bar. Mr. Berry began his association with RMCI in early 1999.
